Concentrated Juice Processing Line

A concentrate line built around evaporation and aroma recovery, because concentrate without recovered aroma cannot be reconstituted into a product that tastes like juice.

Aroma recovery is what makes concentrate usable

Evaporation strips volatile aroma compounds that give juice its fresh character. A distillation column captures these before evaporation and concentrates them 100-150 fold, so they can be dosed back during reconstitution.

Multiple effects cut energy use

A single-effect evaporator uses about 1 kg of steam per kg of water removed. A four-effect unit uses about 0.3 kg, which on a 10,000 L per hour feed is the difference between a viable and a marginal plant.

Aseptic drum filling for storage

Concentrate is stored at ambient for months. Aseptic bag-in-drum filling with a validated sterile path keeps it stable without refrigeration.

Typical Applications

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I recover aroma?

Yes for any product sold as juice. Without aroma recovery, reconstituted juice tastes flat and buyers discount it.

How many effects do I need?

Two for small plants, three to four above 5,000 L per hour feed. Energy saving is the deciding factor.

What is the storage life of concentrate?

Twelve to twenty-four months ambient in an aseptic drum, depending on Brix and acid.
