Mineral Water Bottling Line
A mineral water line that preserves the source's mineral profile while guaranteeing microbiological safety, using ozone or UV rather than heat.

Filtration must not strip the minerals
Mineral water is defined by its mineral content. Reverse osmosis would remove it and legally reclassify the product, so mineral water lines use mechanical filtration and disinfection only, never RO.
Ozone or UV
Ozone gives a residual that protects the filled bottle, but must decay before the bottle is opened or it affects taste. UV leaves no residual and suits lines where bottles are filled and sealed immediately. Many plants use both in series.
Rinser-filler-capper in one frame
For water, the empty bottle rinse is the main contamination risk. A monoblock with neck handling and a dedicated rinse station eliminates the open conveyor between rinse and fill.
Typical Applications
- Spring and well water bottlers — Where the source mineral profile is the brand promise and must be preserved.
- 3 and 5 gallon home delivery — The same platform with a larger format filler serves returnable 5 gallon bottles.
- Export bottled water — Ambient filling and sealed caps give 12-24 months without cold chain.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use RO on mineral water?
No, unless you remineralise to the declared profile. RO alone would strip the minerals that define the product.
How long after filling must ozone decay?
Typically 24-48 hours to below 0.05 mg/L before release for sale.
What is the shelf life?
Twelve to twenty-four months in PET, longer in glass, provided the seal is intact.
