Purified Water Bottling Line
A purified water line built on reverse osmosis, where TDS removal, UV or ozone disinfection and clean filling together meet drinking water standards.

| Recovery | 70-75 percent with concentrate recycling |
Why purified water needs two RO passes
A single RO pass removes 95-98 percent of dissolved solids, which still leaves enough conductivity to affect taste in some sources. A second pass brings rejection above 99 percent and is standard for purified water brands.
Recovery matters as much as purity
RO rejects 25-30 percent of feed as concentrate. Recycling that concentrate to the front of the plant lifts overall recovery to 70-75 percent, which on a large line is the difference between a sustainable and a wasteful operation.
Disinfection without taste
Ozone gives a protective residual but must decay before sale; UV leaves nothing but only protects at the point of use. Using both in series, UV after the ozone decay tank, is the usual configuration.
Typical Applications
- Purified water brands — Where consistent low TDS is the product promise rather than a mineral profile.
- Beverage plants needing process water — The same RO train supplies blending water for carbonated drinks and juice.
- Export and hospitality supply — Purified water is the standard format for retail and food service in many markets.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference from mineral water?
Purified water has minerals removed then may be re-added; mineral water retains its source profile and cannot use RO.
How often do RO membranes need replacing?
Every two to three years with proper pre-treatment. Falling recovery or rising conductivity are the indicators.
Can I bottle 5 gallon on the same line?
Yes with a separate filler head and cap size, sharing the same treatment train.
